Congratulations to our Checkpoint 3 Winners!

We’re in the homestretch now, with just over a week to go until the conclusion of the Ribbit Killer App Challenge. On March 12th the contest will end, and the judging team will decide on who will win the five $15,000 Best in Category prizes, and the $15,000 Best in Show Grand Prize.

One TopCoder member is going to win $30,000, will it be a new submitter, or one of today’s checkpoint winners?

Congratulations to rominirani, merhl, sah2ed, wkozi and villmer - each of whom has won a $1000 checkpoint prize. Three of these were brand new submissions, and two were updated and enhanced apps that had won at earlier checkpoints.

Killer App: “Save a Life

Description: This application addresses a need to reach out to Blood Donors in case of a blood requirement.

Using this application you can:
1) Maintain your contacts with their blood groups/phone numbers.
2) Contact them in case of a blood requirement via a Telephone Call, SMS or send a status via Twitter.
3) Search Red Cross locations in your city and call any of them directly from the application.
 
 
Killer App: “AIR iPhone

Description: The AIR iPhone is a desktop application created with Adobe AIR and Adobe Flex 3, it simulates the UI of the iPhone. It has the capabilities to make calls, receive calls, check voicemail, add contacts and even send voice messages, all using Ribbit.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Killer App: “Diall.me

Description: Diall.Me is a Ribbit platform powered app that allows users to make phone calls, send text messages and record voice messages to one or multiple recipients directly from a web browser. Although Diall.Me will be available as a browser-based application, desktop and handheld device versions that plug into existing platforms/application are planned for development for people that have enormous trouble giving up old habits.
 
 
Killer App: “Yeaah Widget

Description: Yeaah is acronym for ‘Yet Another virtuAl pHone application’. Place a widget on your Facebook profile and enjoy it. Widget allows contact with you without giving any of your data (phone number, email address). You alone decide how other users can contact with you.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Killer App: “Lucid Viewer

Description: Lucid Viewer is a platform for developing and distributing immersive technology projects. It is a virtual reality toolset empowering artists and entrepreneurs with a unique palette of technologies to create highly creative and distinctive projects.
